The Baltimore Ravens are too good to not have won a Super Bowl in the Lamar Jackson era. Another playoff dud should bring some major change. When will the playoff duds be enough? When will the Ravens make a change? Year after year, not only is Lamar Jackson at the top of his game, but the Ravens stack a ton of wins in the regular season.
And all those wins mean nothing when the playoffs roll around, and that is especially true for Baltimore. The Ravens just collapse when the stage gets bigger, and you just have to wonder when enough will be enough?
Well, if the franchise again gets to the playoffs and lays an egg, or even misses the playoffs altogether, they should absolutely make a major coaching change.
John Harbaugh needs to go if the Baltimore Ravens have another playoff dud
John Harbaugh has been an excellent head coach in the NFL for a very long time, but it feels like he's maxed himself out with the Ravens. One of his coaching mates, Mike Tomlin, seems to have done the same with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The most shocking and damning statistic here is that the Ravens have not won multiple games in the playoffs since their Super Bowl run with Joe Flacco back in 2012, and one of the main constants has been Harbaugh himself.
The Ravens' head coach has gone 172-104 in the regular season for a stellar winning percentage of .623. He also does have a winning playoff record of 13-11, but since that Super Bowl title a whopping 13 years ago, Harbaugh and the Ravens have a playoff record of 4-7.
That shouldn't be the expectation for the Baltimore Ravens, and with them having an all-time QB in Lamar Jackson, each year wasted away without a Super Bowl run to show for it is just that - a waste. If the Ravens again fall short in 2025, they should move on from John Harbaugh.
