The Baltimore Ravens have turned the page ahead of 2026. After a forgettable year, they made the right moves to get the team headed back in the right direction. Along the way, they’ll be looking to go on a bit of a revenge tour against their rivals that got the upper hand in 2025.
Recently, there’s been more reason to reintroduce themselves as one of the alpha dogs. On the NFL Top 100, their two best players were given rankings that were just insanely bad.
Lamar Jackson found himself plummeting from No. 2 all the way to No. 69, but it didn’t stop there for Baltimore. A few days later, Kyle Hamilton took a shockingly low spot at No. 63.
Since the NFL Top 100 is a ranking made by the players, Jackson and Hamilton will be carrying receipts to remind everyone of how unstoppable they are.
Baltimore Ravens superstar duo ready to remind NFL peers of what they’re capable of
Lamar Jackson and Kyle Hamilton are two of the best players in the NFL. They undoubtedly should be considered among the league’s top-30 guys, and you could probably even make the case for the top-20. Somehow, we’re living in an unfathomable reality where their peers placed them far outside their deserving range.
For Jackson, it sounds like literally everyone is forgetting why he is so special. Injuries derailed a campaign in which he started out red-hot. As a result, he was unable to extend plays and be the game-changing scrambler all Ravens fans know he can be. Unfortunately, some members of the media see him as a player who is regressing. That’s simply not the case.
The good news is Jackson is back to 100% this offseason. Even better, he will have vastly improved offensive guard play in front of him, along with what could be a deep wide receiver corps. With a little extra motivation sitting in the back of his mind, we could see Jackson return to MVP-level.
As for Hamilton, sure he’s a safety so he may never get the respect he truly deserves, but he impacts the game in every way imaginable. He’s the type of player that opposing offenses have to center their game plan around. They can’t operate on a down-to-down basis without Hamilton forcing his way into the equation in some capacity.
And Hamilton is also coming off a season where he earned his third-straight All-Pro team and Pro Bowl nod. If he can do that in a year where everyone else around the defense was seemingly inept, imagine what he can do in a revenge-fueled season with a much better unit playing by his side. He could reach an unthinkable level of dominance in 2026.
Realistically, the Ravens don’t need receipts for motivation this upcoming season. They’re already eyeing a return to the playoffs, and it looks like they’ll have all the talent they need at their disposal. Still, it won’t hurt, and while the Top 100 rankings are tough to look at, it might be adding some fuel to the fire in Charm City.
