This NFL offseason has had plenty of rumors, and the Baltimore Ravens have been thrown out in a few of them. Owner Steve Bisciotti jumped at the opportunity to steer his team back on course with the firing of John Harbaugh, and there’s no doubt that he and the front office will look to continue to make aggressive moves with their roster. The rumors could prove to be real.

On the rumor mill, Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby and Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown are at the center of attention. The Ravens have been mentioned as a suitor for both, and when it comes to Brown, they may be inching closer to making a blockbuster deal.

After the Buffalo Bills traded for Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore, speculation has continued to build around Brown’s availability. According to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Ravens are one of the top suitors for the three-time Pro Bowler if a deal is made.

Ravens gaining steam in A.J. Brown trade speculation

The A.J. Brown trade talks have been inconsistent. The trade talks erupted at the start of the offseason, seemed to settle down a little bit, and now they’re ramping up again. It doesn’t look too likely that he’ll be traded, but it sounds like the Eagles are at least contemplating his availability.

If the Ravens were to make a deal for Brown, it would cost a very steep price. Philadelphia reportedly has a Quinnen Williams-esque asking price for Brown. The Cowboys dealt a first-round pick, a second-round pick, and Mazi Smith for Williams. That would be a tall ask for Baltimore, especially with general manager Eric DeCosta negotiating, who is known for holding onto draft picks.

With D.J. Moore going for a second-round pick, there’s some validity to that asking price for Brown. Despite the up-and-down season, he still surpassed 1,000 yards and found the endzone seven times. It’s fair to say he’s been a top 10 wideout in the game for the past four years, and his impressive blend of size and athleticism makes him a matchup nightmare. That’s the type of player the Ravens have desperately missed in their passing game.

Brown would be the perfect complement to two-time Pro Bowler Zay Flowers. That combo of Flowers’ speed and elusiveness, paired with Brown’s physicality at the catch point, would have opposing defenses seeing stars. With Baltimore looking to build the best team possible around quarterback Lamar Jackson in 2026, Brown could be a part of that roster revamp.

Will the price prove to be too high for DeCosta? Most likely. However, with the aggressive approach they’ve taken this offseason, maybe Brown is actually a realistic option for the Ravens. Perhaps a package of early picks in 2026 and 2027, along with polarizing wideout Rashod Bateman, would do the job. Right now, though, it’s a total guessing game if Brown even leaves Philadelphia.
