The Baltimore Ravens were once again dealing with their fair share of injuries ahead of their Week 11 win over the Cleveland Browns. Entering Week 12, players continued to pop up on the injury report; however, heading into the weekend, they are nearing full strength.
Wide receiver Rashod Bateman and cornerback Keyon Martin missed practice all week. They are the only two players listed as out for Sunday’s contest against the New York Jets. The rest of the team is ready to go, with no other injury designations listed on Friday’s practice report.
That list of active players facing injuries coming into the week included cornerback Marlon Humphrey. Humphrey had a procedure done on his finger last week, and while he missed the team’s Week 11 matchup in Cleveland, he is set to play in the Ravens’ return to M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday.
Baltimore got it done without Humphrey last week, and the defense played their best game of the season without him. However, with Martin out, Humphrey’s return comes at the perfect time. They will play two games in five days, and the 29-year-old's return is the exact jolt of energy the Ravens will need ahead of a critical stretch.
Marlon Humphrey set to make return vs. New York Jets
Humphrey has struggled to find his footing in 2025. Like most of Baltimore’s defense, he endured a tough stretch and injuries through the first half of the season. Up to this point, he has registered a 46.6 overall grade, according to Pro Football Focus (PFF), by far the worst of his career.
He seemed to be returning to that Pro Bowl form after the bye week, putting together back-to-back strong performances in Week 8 (71.6 PFF grade) and Week 9 (68.2 PFF grade), and while he notched his first interception of the season against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 10, that finger injury clearly limited him throughout the win. That caused him to miss Baltimore’s game in Cleveland, giving him a chance to reset and recover. Now, he will make his return against a sluggish Jets’ offense.
While New York possesses one of the better rushing attacks in the NFL, their passing offense has fallen far behind. They have accounted for 1,399 yards through the air, which firmly ranks dead last in the league. They are 195 passing yards behind the 31st-ranked Browns.
The Jets will also be without their star wide receiver, Garrett Wilson, against the Ravens, so Humphrey and the secondary should not have too much of a challenge ahead. However, the quarterback shift from Justin Fields to Tyrod Taylor could make New York’s passing game look somewhat competitive.
This will be a crucial warmup game for Humphrey. He will take on a Cincinnati Bengals’ receiving room led by wideout Ja’Marr Chase on Thanksgiving, a group that has long given the Ravens' defense nightmares. Getting back into the swing of things against the Jets will be key to his road ahead.
