The Baltimore Ravens have already had a wild offseason. The firing of John Harbaugh was a shock; they hired a new head coach for the first time in 18 years by bringing in Jesse Minter, and their name has constantly been brought up in the rumor mill.
On Friday, quarterback Lamar Jackson fueled even more buzz. He posted on X with a GIF from the movie "Training Day," reading “Boom," along with a happy face emoji.

What could this mean? Your guess is as good as mine. However, there is speculation that this could be centered around his contract negotiations, and the two sides could be nearing an agreement. He made a similar cryptic post last time he was negotiating an extension, agreeing on a deal shortly after.
Two days before signing a contract extension in 2023, Lamar Jackson posted a cryptic tweet featuring Sponge Bob and a smile face emoji.

This has fans buzzing.
Lamar Jackson fuels Baltimore Ravens fan speculation with social media activity
Of course, you have to take this with a grain of salt. It’s fun to speculate, but you never really know what’s going on. Fans are just hoping this has some sort of relation to the Ravens revamping their roster ahead of free agency. With an already crazy offseason, there's plenty that Jackson could be excited about.
Baltimore has been in conversations around trading for Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown and Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby. On Thursday, it was reported that the Ravens were one of the top suitors for Brown, and on Friday, reports surfaced that they were also one of the top teams negotiating with the Raiders for Crosby.
Maybe this could have something to do with center Tyler Linderbaum? Linderbaum’s contract negotiations have taken center stage this offseason, not just for the Ravens, but for every team in need of a center.
General manager Eric DeCosta has said there’s a market-setting deal on the table for Linderbaum to sign, but for now, there has yet to be any progress. With legal tampering looming on March 9, perhaps Jackson knows something we don’t, and things are trending in the right direction.
Ultimately, fans know nothing. It’s all speculation. We’ll eagerly be waiting for news to surface sometime soon. The Ravens are entering one of their most important offseasons in recent memory, and Jackson is only adding to the excitement.
