The Baltimore Ravens may be the most hated team in football at the moment. Their cancellation of the Maxx Crosby trade, followed by the signing of Trey Hendrickson, likely has them at the top of the hit list for the rest of the NFL.
But general manager Eric DeCosta doesn't have time to fight off the hate. This Ravens roster still has holes to fill before the start of the 2026 season. Perhaps the most pressing need is at center. After Tyler Linderbaum's departure, Baltimore has no answers at the position.
Free agent Graham Glasgow is an obvious fit. On the heels of the Hendrickson signing, the Ravens could secure their center position with a low-cost addition.
Ravens could follow Trey Hendrickson signing by adding Graham Glasgow
The Ravens are clearly pushing their chips into the center of the table for the 2026 season. If they were willing to give away two first-round draft picks for the first time in franchise history, they clearly understand the limited scope of their current championship window. But if the middle of the offensive line isn't figured out, that window may close more quickly than expected.
Especially considering the price that the Raiders paid for Linderbaum, the Ravens didn't have a chance to retain the star center. After adding Hendrickson's contract to the books, they'll need to shop on the discount aisle for Linderbaum's replacement.
Unfortunately, most of the starting-caliber centers on the free agent market have already been signed. Players like Tyler Biadasz and Cade Mays could have been solid replacements, but they're already committed elsewhere. Out of the limited options still available, Glasgow makes the most sense for Baltimore.
The 33-year-old center is coming off a disappointing season with the Detroit Lions, leading to his availability in free agency. Still, he has recent starting experience for a team with championship aspirations. He would be a considerable step down from Linderbaum, but he could patch the hole for the time being.
The other option in free agency would be Lloyd Cushenberry, but he was released by the Tennessee Titans with a failed physical designation. Immediately after rejecting Crosby for medical reasons, the Ravens likely aren't willing to dive into a different situation with health concerns.
Signing Glasgow would still allow the Ravens to add a center early in the NFL Draft. The veteran will likely sign just a one-year deal, making him a short-term answer at a position Baltimore needs to address. It might not get fans out of their seats, but this move makes sense for the Ravens.
