The Baltimore Ravens caught a lot of attention after word spread about significant changes made in the locker room. The team removed all distractions, including the ping pong table, video game consoles, and basketball hoop.
Initially, it was reported that the coaching staff made the changes, but Head Coach John Harbaugh confirmed that it was actually the players who made the decision.
On Wednesday, cornerback Marlon Humphrey revealed on his podcast, “The Marlon Humphrey Show,” that it was star quarterback Lamar Jackson who led the overhaul of changes to the locker room.

Jackson confirmed following Tuesday's practice that he was the one that made the decision, as the team has a ton of work to do.

"Oh, yeah. I told Kenico, our head equipment guy, I told him to take out all the games - ping pong, turn the TVs off. And if we could've taken the TVs out, they would've been…
After a 1-5 start, it was clear the Ravens needed to switch up the tone, and Jackson’s actions are already leading a significant turnaround.
Lamar Jackson helping turn the season around
In Baltimore’s Week 8 win over the Chicago Bears, they proved to be laser-focused team that everyone was expecting to see entering the 2025 campaign. The communication was on point, the lackadaisical errors were kept to a minimum, and they kept their foot on the gas until the clock hit zero.
The bye week and removal of locker room distractions are already paying off. The Ravens needed one of their leaders to take command of the team, and who better to do that than Jackson? He has been out since injuring his hamstring in the team’s Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, but he is still finding a way to make an impact despite being injured.
Thankfully, Jackson can make a more significant impact in the coming weeks. He returned to practice in full capacity on Monday and was once again out there on the field during Tuesday’s practice. Harbaugh expects him to be ready for their Thursday Night Football game against the Miami Dolphins in Week 9.
The offense is already back into a rhythm after backup quarterback Tyler Huntley led a dominant offense last Sunday. They put up 30 points against the Bears after scoring just 13 combined in their previous two games. The rushing attack is back, and the passing offense was electric, but with Jackson, they are poised to reach new heights in Miami.
Heading into Thursday night, Baltimore is looking to improve to 3-5. It is another must-win game, as their playoff hopes are still on the line.
