Be bold.

The final mock drafts are out. For the Baltimore Ravens, it’s been mostly the same two to three answers in mocks over the past week. Analysts either have them taking an offensive lineman or tight end Kenyon Sadiq (Oregon).

The most common prediction has been Vega Ioane (Penn State), and many believe that to be the chalk pick. However, there’s also talk around Spencer Fano (Utah) and Sadiq. In Daniel Jeremiah’s final mock, he has Sadiq heading to Charm City at No. 14. However, he also has a bit of a shocker.

At No. 32, Jeremiah has the Seattle Seahawks trading down. Trading up? The Baltimore Ravens, who he has selecting Peter Woods (Clemson) at that spot. Jeremiah wrote:

“If the Ravens sit back and wait for their next scheduled pick at No. 45, they have to worry about the Raiders or another team taking Woods early in the second round. So, they use some of their draft capital to move up for a player they really like. Woods provides some insurance with Nnamdi Madubuike working his way back from neck surgery.”

This would be uncharacteristic for the Ravens, but if they really like Woods as Jeremiah suggests, they could get aggressive and actually trade up.

The Ravens already made one huge improvement to their defensive front. They signed Trey Hendrickson in free agency to give new head coach Jesse Minter’s defense a fierce contributor off the edge. However, the trenches have been a priority all offseason, and the front office likely isn’t done adding there, especially with a star piece drawing major concerns.

It’s no secret that Nnamdi Madubuike’s future is uncertain after a neck injury cut his 2025 campaign short in Week 2. Sure, there’s been growing optimism that he can put the pads back on, but no one knows for sure what will happen. The team’s free agent interest in D.J. Reader could signal they remain uncertain. Regardless of whether they need one or two more members of the interior defensive line, tough, Woods would be an excellent addition.

Woods is a terrific athlete, using quick feet and superb lateral agility to mirror plays and split blocks on pass rush downs. He showcases good instincts, too, as he’ll quickly shed blocks with excellent anticipation.

The Clemson product does have some trouble in the run game. He can lack gap integrity and be washed out of plays due to overaggressiveness. His technique also definitely needs some refinement.

Overall, with a somewhat lackluster draft class that lacks high-end talent and depth, this could be a year where we see a change of pace from the Ravens. They have critical needs, and with 11 picks, they have all the ammo they need to trade up. We’ll have to wait and see if general manager Eric DeCosta opts to use it.
