Roster math could catch up fast.

As the 2026 NFL Draft creeps closer, there’s going to be a ton of roster battles heading into training camp. The roster math is going to get tough, especially for teams like the Baltimore Ravens, who hold 11 picks this year.

While this year’s draft is considered weaker, there's a ton of fun possibilities, and according to general manager Eric DeCosta, the Ravens have 197 draftable players on their board. That may or may not last them until their final pick at No. 253, but they’ll have more than their fair share of selections to add players ready to compete. And that doesn’t even include undrafted free agents.

One player who could be on the chopping block once April 25 passes is Adisa Isaac. Going into year three, the former third-round pick has yet to emerge in the pass rush room, and with rumblings about Baltimore drafting a pass rusher, he could find himself close to roster exile.

Baltimore Ravens could force a failing pick out in 2026 NFL Draft

Isaac hasn’t really gotten a fair chance in the NFL. He’s just never been healthy. He dealt with injuries throughout his rookie campaign in 2024, and in 2025, a dislocated elbow kept him on the shelf early, and a setback later in the year forced him to miss the entire season.

As they say, the best ability is availability, and Isaac has unfortunately been anything but available. It’s a tough reality, but it’s a reality that he and the team are living in. One that may cause the Ravens to contemplate drafting a pass rusher or two this year. They need another threat off the edge, and then some depth.

Baltimore has had a few 30 visits with edge prospects available in the first-to-second round range. That list includes Keldric Faulk (Auburn), Zion Young (Missouri), R Mason Thomas (Oklahoma), and Dani Dennis-Sutton (Penn State).

On FanSided’s top-50 big board, Faulk ranks 16th, Young ranks 47th, and Thomas ranks 49th. Dennis-Sutton is not ranked.

If any of those prospects land in Baltimore, they’d almost immediately jump Isaac on the depth chart. Just like them, Isaac hasn’t really shown anything in his NFL career to prove he’s a pro-caliber talent. It’d almost be a level playing field.

Isaac also has the misfortune of having to impress a new coaching staff. While DeCosta was the one who drafted him, the John Harbaugh era is over, and Jesse Minter is now in charge. It's a whole new ballgame, especially for those fighting for a roster spot like Isaac.

After signing Trey Hendrickson in free agency, Isaac is currently the fourth edge rusher on the depth chart. He’s behind Hendrickson, Mike Green, and Tavius Robinson, and if a rookie is added in the draft, Isaac’s future in Baltimore could start looking bleak.
