The Baltimore Ravens appear in relatively good shape heading into Sunday’s matchup against the Washington Commanders. Friday’s practice offered some promising signs for the team’s most important contributors, but some concerns could impact their game plan.

After being limited in practice throughout the week, wide receiver Rashod Bateman (groin), cornerback Marlon Humphrey (ankle), and left tackle Ronnie Stanley (toe) all returned to the practice field on Friday.

This marks a positive development for the Ravens as they gear up for the Commanders. Bateman, Stanley, and Humphrey were all limited participants in Thursday’s session, but their ability to practice again today suggests they are trending toward playing on Sunday.

Humphrey, who had been spotted in a walking boot following the Ravens' win over the Bengals, appears to be the biggest question mark among the group. His ankle injury limited him earlier in the week. His presence at Friday’s practice will provide optimism for Ravens fans hoping he can suit up to help a secondary struggling against the pass.

Bateman and Stanley are both dealing with minor injuries and were held out of Wednesday’s practice as a precaution. However, they should be ready to go barring any setbacks.

There are a lot of important players listed as questionable for Sunday. Hopefully, all goes well and there are no hiccups. Otherwise, Baltimore could be in for a long afternoon.

Unfortunately, not everyone is on track to return.

All eyes are on the status of Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey

Both linebacker Malik Harrison (groin) and defensive tackle Broderick Washington (knee) were absent from Friday’s practice, marking the third straight day they’ve missed action. Neither player has participated all week, making it highly likely they’ll miss Sunday’s game.

Harrison’s groin injury could hurt the Ravens’ depth at linebacker, while Washington’s absence might impact the defensive line’s ability to disrupt Washington’s high-powered rushing attack, led by rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Tight end Charlie Kolar (toe), who had a breakout performance last week with 64 receiving yards and his first NFL touchdown, fully participated in Thursday’s practice after being limited earlier in the week. His availability is crucial as the Ravens’ offense continues to get him more involved in the passing game.

While cornerback Arthur Maulet (knee) remains a concern after limited participation, the Ravens hope he can be ready soon.

The Ravens are expected to be without Malik Harrison and Broderick Washington, but most other key players seem to be on track for Sunday. Whether Marlon Humphrey can make a full return will be a critical storyline, as the Ravens will need all hands on deck to slow down the Commanders' rookie QB Jayden Daniels, who’s been exceptional this season.

With a mostly healthy roster and some key players trending towards playing, the Ravens seem well-prepared to handle the Commanders, pending any surprises from the final injury designations. Stay tuned for the latest updates as the Ravens aim to make their final preparations for Sunday’s game.
