The Baltimore Ravens are flying high this season, sitting at 8-4 and boasting one of the league’s most electrifying offenses. Dubbed the “Greatest Show on Grass,” the Ravens lead the NFL in yards per game (426.7) and rank second in points per game (30.3). Lamar Jackson has elevated his play under Todd Monken, Derrick Henry is dominating on the ground, and the team’s efficiency in the red zone is unmatched.

Despite their success, not all former Ravens have shared the same fortune. As the Ravens have surged, several players who left Baltimore have struggled with their new teams. Here are five former Ravens who are having a rough go of it in 2024.

Five former Ravens players who are flopping with their new teams in 2024

Devin Duvernay, WR (Jacksonville Jaguars)

After his time in Baltimore, Devin Duvernay signed with Jacksonville, hoping to bring his explosive playmaking to a new offense. Instead, he has been a non-factor. In seven games, Duvernay has just one catch for -1 yards and three rushing attempts for 10 yards. His struggles to fit into the Jaguars' system are glaring, and his lack of production has made him an afterthought in a Jaguars offense that ranks in the bottom third of the league.

Geno Stone, S (Cincinnati Bengals)

Geno Stone was a ballhawk for the Ravens in 2023, but his transition to Cincinnati hasn’t gone as planned. While Stone has started all 11 games for the Bengals, he has just one interception and two pass deflections to show for it. Worse, the Bengals’ defense has been among the league’s worst, ranking 28th in points allowed per game (26.9). Stone hasn’t been the difference-maker Cincinnati hoped for, leaving their secondary vulnerable against top offenses.

Gus Edwards, RB (Los Angeles Chargers)

“The Bus” was a fan favorite in Baltimore, but Gus Edwards has been far from his best since joining the Chargers. Limited by a sprained ankle earlier in the season, Edwards has only played in seven games, rushing for 206 yards on 63 carries (3.3 YPC) with one touchdown. The Chargers have struggled to establish any rhythm in their run game, and Edwards’ production is a big step down from what he brought to Baltimore.

Odell Beckham Jr, WR (Miami Dolphins)

After a solid season with the Ravens in 2023, Odell Beckham Jr. has fallen off in Miami. In seven games, Beckham has managed just seven receptions for 45 yards and no touchdowns. Once one of the league’s most dynamic receivers, Beckham’s inability to find a role in the Dolphins’ offense has been one of the bigger disappointments this year.

Tyler Huntley, QB (Miami Dolphins)

Tyler Huntley stepped into a starting role in Miami after Tua Tagovailoa went down with an injury, but he hasn’t been able to rise to the occasion. In three starts, Huntley has thrown for 377 yards, one touchdown, and one interception while completing 59.1% of his passes. His passer rating of 73.9 and seven sacks taken highlight his struggles to command the offense and handle pressure.

As the Ravens look toward the postseason, these former players are reminders of how challenging transitions in the NFL can be. Baltimore’s front office seems to have made the right calls, letting go of players who haven’t been able to replicate their previous success. While the Ravens thrive as one of the league’s elite teams, these ex-Ravens find themselves on the struggle bus in 2024.
