The Baltimore Ravens have assembled their coaching staff for the 2026 season. Their new leaders in charge will not only be looking to steady this team in the right direction after a painful 2025 campaign, but the coaches will be enforcing a new era and a new identity during their tenures. Times are changing.

After firing longtime head coach John Harbaugh, owner Steve Bisciotti made it clear he was tired of coming up short and that a new regime was needed. They have built one of the most exciting staffs in the NFL after hiring Jesse Minter, while also bringing in bight-eyed, scrappy coordinators in Declan Doyle and Anthony Weaver.

With up-and-coming coaches taking the reins, the sky could be the limit for Baltimore. There is a whole lot to prove, but given each of Minter, Doyle, and Weaver’s recent quick rise on the coaching front, many are eager to see how the new-look Ravens will play out in 2026.
They gave fans plenty of reason to be excited during their press conference on Wednesday. As Minter looks to usher in that new era of Ravens football, it sounds like he’s going to let the team’s play speak for itself.

“I think there’s a foundational way that the Ravens play, that we need to play like. But I also think that there’s a new age and a new way to do things. That’s the reason we’re all sitting up here,” Minter said. “I think it’ll be up to everybody watching us to see what’s different about it.”

Since the moment he stepped through that door in Baltimore, he’s got the NFL world intrigued by what he will bring. His recent remarks only amplify that intrigue.

Jesse Minter already has Ravens fans excited for Week 1

The Ravens’ 2025 campaign was one of the most disappointing years in franchise history. They had Super Bowl aspirations, but fell flat and missed the playoffs. This offseason, they needed to revamp the coaching staff and adjust to the changing landscape of football. They’ve done that, and it’s time for Minter, Doyle, and Weaver to reintroduce Ravens football to the NFL, while also adding their own spin on things.

There’s obviously a lot of work to do between now and Week 1 of the 2026 regular season. The roster needs drastic improvements in many key areas, and contracts need to be ironed out with a couple of stars in the coming weeks. Still, there’s already a ton of talent for Minter and company to work with, and with some young, innovative minds now in charge, they could unlock another level within this roster.

On the offense, Declan Doyle has quickly become a highly regarded offensive mind, and the Ravens are lucky to have hired him. While he has never been a lead playcaller, he played a pivotal role in the Chicago Bears' breakout in 2025, as well as quarterback Caleb Williams’ development. He’s learned under Sean Payton and Ben Johnson, allowing him to pick the brains of some of the best old school and new school playcallers. With that experience, there’s no telling what heights Lamar Jackson could reach in 2026.

The possibilities on defense are just as fascinating. Jesse Minter will be calling plays this year, and his success with the Los Angeles Chargers defense gives Ravens fans every reason to believe that the team’s defense will be back to their dominating ways in 2026. With coaching experience in Charm City from 2017 to 2020, he knows exactly what success looks like for a Baltimore defense, and he’ll add his own creativity to it.

As defensive coordinator, Anthony Weaver may not be calling plays, but he certainly knows how to lead a defense. Just from his interviews, you can tell his voice commands a room, and he already has fans ready to run through a brick wall. He also has experience with the Ravens, both as a player from 2002 to 2005 and a coach from 2021 to 2023. He knows what it will take to reshape that Baltimore identity, but at 45 years old, he’ll also implement that new style of football.

With a great deal of experience in Baltimore, the Ravens’ coaching staff will likely maintain the identity that’s made the organization so successful over their rich history. However, that youth has a chance to spark a new flame that could bring them closer to the Lombardi Trophy. As Minter put it, we'll just have to wait and see.
