Well, now the aftermath begins. By many accounts, it was time for a change, and make a change is exactly what the Baltimore Ravens did when they decided to fire head coach John Harbaugh.

Much like some of the great coaches let go in the past, though, it isn't going to take long for Harbaugh to land his next gig. Like ESPN's Adam Schefter pointed out, in under an hour from the time the decision was made, Harbaugh's agent had calls from multiple NFL teams who were interested.

And, there's one in particular that makes way too much sense for his fresh start.

According to SNY's Connor Hughes, the New York Giants are "all in" on Harbaugh now that he's available:

"He’s the No. 1 coach on their wish list."

First and foremost, Harbaugh wouldn't have to travel far to make this type of move. This is, what, a 3-4 hour drive? That's a good start. But, the Giants have some attractive pieces in place.

John Harbaugh would be the perfect fit for Jaxson Dart and the Giants

We can definitely poke holes in the idea of Harbaugh going to the Giants. Sure, if Jaxson Dart decides he wants to live a healthy life after football, and opts to stop taking vicious hits, then he and Harbaugh could have a long-lasting partnership.

Assuming Dart is around a while, though, the Giants are a fun opening. Harbaugh would come into a situation where the quarterback, running back and star wide receiver positions are already locked down. Plus, the offensive line has actually played better than other recent seasons.

There's work to do, there, but it's improving.

Looking at the Giants' pass rush with Brian Burns, Abdul Carter and Kayvon Thibodeaux (for now), the defense has some cornerstone-type pieces there as well.

This is a situation where Harbaugh could very well come in and turn this team into a playoff contender, and in a division that might see a little turnover. The Philadelphia Eagles are a good team, but they have a lot of issues internally, and across their coaching staff, if you ask the fans.

Harbaugh might see this as his best opportunity to have success right away, rather than waiting on a rebuild with the Las Vegas Raiders or putting all his chips in on Cam Ward, who still has a lot to improve upon.

Regardless, there has to be part of every Ravens fan that will still root for his success, right? Will it be in New York?
