There’s nothing but excitement flowing through the Baltimore Ravens’ fanbase right now. After trading for star edge rusher Maxx Crosby in a blockbuster deal with the Las Vegas Raiders, the future is starting to look very bright in Charm City.

The Ravens got exactly what they needed: a lethal pass rusher who can go into takeover mode in the biggest moments. Crosby has excelled for all seven seasons of his career and will now bring his talents to Baltimore, where they are gearing up for a Super Bowl run.

Crosby made his first comments since the trade in a video posted to X on Saturday. Obviously, it’s been an emotional roller coaster for the 28-year-old, but as he readies himself for his next chapter, it sounds like he’s ready to give the Ravens everything he’s got. He’s looking to get his new team to the Super Bowl.

“I’m going [to Baltimore] with one purpose, and that’s to help get this team ultimately where it needs to be, and where everybody wants to go, and that’s winning the Super Bowl,” Crosby said. “I’m gonna give everything in my heart and soul to bring a championship to Baltimore. There’s no more words needed for that. I’m gonna lead by action, I’m gonna be myself fully.”

That’s exactly what the front office had in mind when striking the deal for Crosby, and that’s exactly what fans needed to hear. The dream is always hoisting that Lombardi Trophy by season’s end.

Maxx Crosby bringing Super Bowl intentions to Baltimore Ravens

Since drafting quarterback Lamar Jackson, it feels like the Ravens have been oh so close to winning the Super Bowl. However, time and time again, they come up short. They have developed an annoying tendency to make critical miscues in the playoffs, and hopefully, adding a player who plays with the tenacity of Crosby can help limit those mistakes and bring more energy when those big moments reveal themselves.

Defense was the big problem in 2025. The unit seemed to play with their shoulders slouched, failing to make many game-changing plays. The lack of pass-rush presence was the major flaw; they finished the year with just 30 sacks as a unit. Those problems spelled an end to Baltimore’s 2025 season, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2021. Crosby is poised to fix that.

Crosby will have the defense acting like a completely different animal. He plays with his hair on fire, relentlessly pressuring opposing quarterbacks, while also doing severe damage in the run game. The energy he plays with is Super Bowl-winning energy. Not only have the Ravens lacked that off the edge, but they’ve also lacked that in general. Crosby is going to give his opponents 60 minutes of hell, just what new defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver wants to see.

Only time will tell if a Super Bowl is truly on the horizon. However, there’s certainly more hope given Baltimore’s aggressive offseason so far.
