Amid all of the discourse about Lamar Jackson falling to No. 69 on the NFL's Top 100, another Baltimore Ravens star got disrespected: Kyle Hamilton somehow ranked just No. 63. Notably, this was a 12-spot drop-off from last season. The players vote on the Top 100, and once the season rolls around, they'll instantly regret ranking Hamilton this low.

Hamilton is easily the best safety in the league. He's also simply one of the most versatile and impactful defensive players in the league. A few weeks ago, Hamilton was ranked 28th by CBS Sports -- I thought that was a little bit too low. But 63 is straight up egregious.
There are few players more important to their teams' defensive identity than Hamilton is. Of course, like any great safety, he can control the back end of the field and wreak havoc. But he can also line up as a cornerback, move close to the line of scrimmage like an edge rusher, or command the middle of the field like a linebacker. This guy isn't your typical safety.
Having a versatile chess piece like Hamilton is infinitely valuable.
Baltimore Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton's peers will quickly regret ranking him so low
Frankly, the only possible explanation for Hamilton ranking this low is that the Ravens' defense was bad last year. And that's a pretty flawed reason. Hamilton was still a first-time All-Pro safety, and he did everything in his power to hold the Ravens' defense together.
In fact, the Ravens' defense surged once he was moved up toward the line of scrimmage. I think every Ravens fan understands this ranking is foolish, but the bright side is that we could see an even better version of Hamilton this year.
Hamilton already felt poised for a monster year under new head coach Jesse Minter: a defensive guru who will know exactly how to best utilize Hamilton. Furthermore, entering his age-25 season, another leap (as crazy as that may sound) could very well be in the cards.
If you are a believer in bulletin board material, this ranking only adds to the possibility of a monstrous season from Hamilton. Each week, Hamilton can come out with a chip on his shoulder and be ready to prove that his peers' ranking of him was indeed disrespectful.
Hamilton's talent and an improved situation are the more important factors that should pave the way for an elite season. Regardless, this ranking can give Hamilton an extra edge which could solidify the possibility of an otherworldly season.
Soon, NFL players will realize the grave mistake they made by ranking Hamilton this low. And Ravens fans will be smiling from ear to ear when Hamilton once again proves that he's a game-changing defensive player in every sense of the word.
