The 2023 NFL Draft saw the Baltimore Ravens get much better early on, and it came on the same day the team was finally able to come to an agreement with quarterback Lamar Jackson on a 5-year contract.

It was a great way to start out the weekend, as that saga finally came to an end. Then, early on, the Ravens took Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers, giving Jackson and the offense an electric weapon to unleash alongside newly-signed Odell Beckham Jr.

From there, the Ravens were without a second-round pick and made another five selections over the weekend. The only likely starter the team drafted after Flowers was linebacker/pass rusher Tavius Robinson. Therefore, the team should start looking at adding more talent via the next wave of veteran free agency.

Free agents the Baltimore Ravens should add following 2023 NFL Draft: OT Donovan Smith

The Ravens went into this draft with a need at offensive tackle, and didn't come away with anything concrete at the position. One guy, still available, is longtime Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive tackle Donovan Smith.

At 29 years old, and soon to be 30, Smith still has some good years left in him. In eight years, Smith has only missed a total of six games, so the Ravens can count on his body staying in working condition. Injuries have plagued the Ravens, everywhere, over the last few seasons, and Smith could help ease that pain.

Now that Lamar Jackson is around another five years, too, Baltimore should continue to do everything they can do to keep him happy, healthy and protected. Adding a tackle like Smith would be a great signing at this stage in the offseason.
