9. Will the Baltimore Ravens keep Jeremiah Moon?

Jeremiah Moon is entering his second NFL season after being a UDFA for the Baltimore Ravens last season. He spent the year on the practice squad and now is making his case for the active roster. He has one thing going his way, and that is the injury to Tyus Bowser.

Moon is one of the best when it comes to playing the SAM linebacker, which is more off of the ball than the RUSH role that Odafe Oweh and David Ojabo play. So, Moon is technically a backup on the edge, which should give him a strong case for the roster. With Bowser out, he has seen a lot of work in practice.

The issue is that we did not see much on the field to show that he should make it. If anything, the Bowser injury may expose Moon and show the Ravens that they need to sign an edge rusher. Beyond that, rookie UDFA Malik Hamm outplayed Moon in the preseason opener. It is just one game, but Hamm could play the SAM role as well, and if his performance in week one is an indication, he will get more looks in week two.

Moon has paths to the roster, but if Boswers gets healthy, he does not play better, and Hamm continues to ascend, he has no shot at making this roster.
