Almost any mock draft you see will have the Baltimore Ravens taking one of two positions. They need receiver and cornerback so badly, and both positions could see plenty of options available in the first round. So, it is easy to pin the Ravens to these two spots.

Will Baltimore Ravens draft defensive line in 2023 NFL draft?

If the team does go with a wildcard position you should keep your eyes on the defensive line, and specifically the edge rush. The Ravens have brought in plenty of potential wide receivers and cornerbacks who could be first-round options.

They brought in Zay Flowers, Quentin Johnston, Jordan Addison, Joey Porter, and more. However, it is interesting that of the positions they brought in, edge rusher had a lot of first-round options.

The Baltimore Ravens had Keion White, Nolan Smith, and Myles Murphy in the facility for the top 30 visits. There is a chance that all three of these guys are off of the board, but there is just as much of a chance that one of them falls to the Baltimore Ravens. Is this a good fit?

It does make sense on paper. The team is losing both Jason Pierre-Paul and Justin Houston. They could re-sign both of them, but they are both aging veterans, and it would be nice to start to lean toward the younger side.

Tyus Bowser is technically an edge rusher, but with his SAM responsibility, he is a split between linebacker and edge. Then, there is just Odafe Oweh and David Ojabo. Sure, in a perfect world, these two are the big-name starters, and the rest is depth behind.

However, Oweh struggled last season, and Ojabo did little to nothing as a rookie coming off of a serious injury. The hope is both are ready to bounce back, but we just do not know that yet. So, while depth could be a safe option to add, the team could also grab one of the top rushers available. It would put them in a spot where they do not rely on Ojabo to hit the ground running, and it also allows them to use Oweh situationally.

The odds are that receiver and cornerback will be the positions called. However, we do not know for sure, and if we had to open up to possibilities outside of that, it is probably an edge rusher.
