The Baltimore Ravens did not have much cap space to work with, but they did find ways to improve the roster. They now enter the 2023 season with a better shot of winning a Super Bowl than they did last season. Of course, to upgrade the roster it means seeing some names leave. At times it can be for the better.

Which players on the Ravens roster are gone, but may not be missed?

3. The Baltimore Ravens upgraded from Demarcus Robinson

Last season Mark Andrews led the Ravens in receiving, as expected. However, the Ravens actual leading wide receiver was Demarcus Robinson. Now, not only is Robinson not on the Ravens roster, he has still not found a home. To be fair to Robinson he had 458 yards last year, so him leading the way said more about the Ravens than it does Robinson.

Still, the Ravens did everything that they could to make sure that they upgraded from that spot. You could make a pretty good case that Nelson Agholor is better than Demarcus Robinson. Even if that was the only move they made it was a slight upgrade and the team may not be worried about Robinson. Still, if it was just Agholor you would probably see Robinson on the Ravens right now.

The Baltimore Ravens gave Odell Beckham a big deal and drafted Zay Flowers in the first round. If the writing was not on the wall with the Agholor signing it was crystal clear now that the team went out of their way not to rely on Demarcus Robinson.

For what he was asked to do last season, Robinson served his role well. However, just giving Lamar Jackson that thin of a receiving corps was asking for the issues that came about. Now, the team has a much deeper group, and the top wideout last year would struggle to make the top five this year.
