The countdown until the Baltimore Ravens 2023 starts is on. While we countdown, we are going through the entire Ravens roster to see which players are the most valuable and which players have the best chance to make the roster. We are working our way down the list and have reached the top 70 with the number 70, Tykeem Doss.

Baltimore Ravens 2023 Roster Ranking: No. 70 Tykeem Doss

Tykeem Doss is a rookie UDFA from Southern Miss. He was a three-year starter at Southern Miss and moved up and down the line for the Ravens. Doss played left guard in 2020, he played left tackle in 2021, and then he played right tackle in 2022. Overall, he has 773 snaps at left tackle, 471 snaps at left guard, and 233 snaps as a right tackle.

What makes Doss so enticing is his physical profile. He is 6'5" and 378 pounds with 35" arms. This obviously will give him a shot to stick around at tackle, but the Ravens may also like his size at guard. One way to limit the size issues of Tyler Linderbaum is to put massive guards beside him, and most of the interior guys that they have brought in are big bodies or even former tackles.

Tykeem Doss could be the same way. The question is where the Baltimore Ravens do project Doss. When looking at tackles, it is easy to make a case for him to get looks as the third-string left tackle. He will be behind Patrick Mekari, who can move around, and it may make him a better shot to make the roster than others. At the same time, Daniel Faalele and Sala Amuave Laulu may split time between guard and tackle, and it will take a lot of third-string repetitions away from Doss.

The best case for Doss is to find a position and hold it down in training camp. That could cause the Ravens to keep Doss on the practice squad. If he sticks around as a left tackle, he has a good shot to make the 2024 roster. This is what has him a bit higher than others but not quite into the top 60.
