Baltimore Ravens roster ranking: No. 73 WR Andy Isabella
The countdown until the Baltimore Ravens retake the field is underway. As we continue that countdown, we also count down the Ravens roster from 90 to one to find out the most valuable players. This will look at which players have the best chance to make the roster and which will impact wins and losses the most. We are down to number 73, Andy Isabella.
Baltimore Ravens roster ranking: No. 73 WR Andy Isabella
Andy Isabella has been in the NFL since 2019. He was a former second-round pick; a fun fact is that the Arizona Cardinals drafted him before the Seattle Seahawks took D.K. Metcalf. Needless to say, Isabella has not lived up to the same expectations as Metcalf.
Isabella posted just 189 yards as a rookie and then 224 the year. From there, it was clear that the coaching staff was ready to move on. Isabella had just 13 yards in 2021, as injuries also impacted. Still, Arizona released him in 2022 after two catches for 21 yards.
He was signed by the Baltimore Ravens late last year and was on the active roster in week 18, although he did not play. With the depth chart as weak as it was, Isabella signed a futures contract to go to training camp/
Unfortunately for him, the Ravens realized that they could not rely on guys like him anymore and made sure to stack the room. Nelson Agholor, Odell Beckham, and Zay Flowers are all new names who would shine over Isabella in any situation. When you add that Devin Duvernay and Rashod Bateman are returning, the room is getting crowded.
It was late in the season, but Isabella could not beat James Proche or Tylan Wallace. Career-wise, the Ravens probably prefer Proche and Wallace as well, and neither of them are expected to be locked onto the roster.
So, Isabella has a steep hill to climb to get on the roster. He has enough pedigree and has shown he can make an NFL roster and get on an NFL field. However, this room is too crowded for Andy Isabella, who sits at number 73 on our list.
