As the Baltimore Ravens returned to practice after a bye week, their injury report looked notably smaller. That is the impact of a week off this late in the year, and the Ravens were a team that needed it. While big names such as Zay Flowers, Kevin Zeitler, and Kyle Hamilton appear to be close to full health at this point in the season, there is one name that is still important to watch. That is cornerback Marlon Humphrey.
Will Marlon Humphrey play for the Baltimore Ravens against the Houston Texans?
Humphrey has been in and out of the line for most of the year, starting with an injury he suffered in training camp. Humphrey missed the first four weeks of the season. He came back in week five but suffered another injury in week ten and ended up missing two weeks after that.
Humphrey got a third week off due to the bye week and came back in week 14. However, in week 17, he was injured against the Miami Dolphins. Humphrey missed week 18, but that game was rather meaningless. He also got the bye week off. Still, after two weeks to rest, he was listed as did not practice on Tuesday.
This is going on the third week with no practice. Considering it is a calf injury, he is going to want to make sure it is loose before giving it a go. So, while he is a veteran who could miss practice all week and then return to play, he also would likely need at least a day of limited work to be sure he could play this week.
Humphrey still has three days to get back on the field in some regard. If he does not, the Ravens may be missing him for their playoff game against the Houston Texans.
