10 burning questions Baltimore Ravens must answer in Week 1
9. Which wide receivers are out there for the Baltimore Ravens in two wide sets
The Baltimore Ravens wide receiver room can go in so many different directions; it will be interesting to see how it sorts itself out. While the long-term stability of Odell Beckham and Rashod Bateman is in question, both of them are healthy. Meanwhile, while fans and experts are excited about the long-term upside of Zay Flowers, he is still just a rookie making his NFL debut.
So, the early thought would be that when the Ravens run two wide receiver looks, it would be Bateman and Beckham on the outside. Then, Flowers would only play when the team brought their third wide receiver on the field. They would probably go three wide often, but it would mean that Flowers is eased into the mix.
That is not surprising. The Ravens should get the most out of Beckham while he was healthy and hope that by the time he runs out of steam or needs to take a back seat Flowers will be ready. So, if the rookie ends up third in snaps, and catches it will be the end of the world. However, if he is starting in two wide sets over Bateman and Beckham, it says he is so far ahead of schedule we could not measure it.
