The Baltimore Ravens rivalry with the Pittsburgh Steelers is all about the traditional names. We have moved on from the Ray Lewis and Ben Roethlisberger days, but Hines Ward, Terrell Suggs, Ed Reed, and Troy Polamalu have always been associated with this game.

Still, there is always the occasional name like Eric Weddle or even Desean Jackson, who sneaks his way into this rivalry. Who are some players on the Pittsburgh Steelers that will be introduced to the game against the Baltimore Ravens?

3. The Baltimore Ravens will see Patrick Peterson join the big names in this big time rivalry

Patrick Peterson will definitely fit the mold of Weddle and Jackson as players who will be remembered for their contributions to other teams before they are remembered for their time in this rivalry. Still, the future Hall of Fame cornerback will now join the many names from black and gold to take on the Ravens.

The issue for the Pittsburgh Steelers is that they are not getting the Hall of Fame player at his Hall of Fame ability. They are getting something a bit worse. Peterson is 33 years old right now and is changing schemes to where he is asked to play a little more man. It is not working out.

Peterson has allowed four touchdowns in four games, and he was the victim of a big game by Nico Collins last week against the Houston Texans. Between the struggles of Peterson and Levi Wallace, there is a chance that the Ravens may also see the debut of Joey Porter Jr. in the rivalry. The Ravens chose Zay Flowers over Porter in the first round of the 2023 draft, and now the two may square off.
