The 2024 NFL Draft is finally here, as teams of all stages of various contention plans can take solace in the fact they are adding some young prospects who could become franchise icons. Rebuilding teams like the Patriots and Commanders share the same enthusiasm as contenders like the Baltimore Ravens.

The 2024 festivities will take place in downtown Detroit, as the three-night event is set to change the scope of the league once again. Even with many of the biggest names locked in at the top of the order, intrigue could be the operative word when discussing this draft class.

Before actually discussing the players who will be picked in the 2024 NFL Draft, fans need to know when the fireworks are going down. It's a bit on the late side for those on the East Coast, but how else will you see your team make history?

What time does the 2024 NFL Draft start?

Round 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft will air on Thursday, April 25 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m PT and will be broadcast on ESPN, ABC, and NFL Network. The first pick will likely be made at around 8:10 once pre-draft events finally start to conclude. The first round typically lasts around four hours.

Ravens fans can expect their first-round pick to likely be made around 11:30 p.m. ET.

Rounds 2 and 3 will take place on Friday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. ET. This event will also likely end around midnight on the East Coast. Rounds 4 through 7 will round out the action on Saturday, April 27 at 12:00 p.m. ET. After the conclusion of about six hours of drafting, the annual frenzy for undrafted free agents will begin.

Even with Caleb Williams likely set in stone as the No. 1 overall pick to the Chicago Bears, the rest of the first round projects to be full of gigantic trades, baffling decisions, and future Hall of Fame players beginning their professional careers.
