Which uniform are the Ravens wearing in Week 6?
The Ravens (3-2) are the favorites in their international game in London scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 15 against the struggling Titans (2-3). It's the first game Baltimore will play overseas since they did for the last time in 2017 when they went on to lose 44-7 to the Jaguars. Sheesh...
As head coach John Harbaugh said a few days ago, Baltimore is simply doing everything differently this time compared to six years ago just to try and flip the result they endured in the late 2010s... or is it?
When it comes to uniforms, the Ravens are gambling because they have flown to London on a plane packed full of white jerseys and black pants. The last time they played in England they did so clad in the same threads, so this is a monster risk taken by the Flock.
The Ravens have used this combination two times this season against two divisional foes and went on to beat both, though. They wore these uniforms in Week 2 against the Bengals and they did so again in Week 4 facing the Browns. Both matchups were played on the road, and so is this one. Reason for optimism!
So this weekend, once more, the Ravens will be bringing back the always-classic white-on-black combo to impress the ladies and gentlemen attending Tottenham Stadium to witness the third and final international matchup of the 2023 NFL regular season staged in the United Kingdom.
If you check the 2022 Ravens Wardrobe over Ravens Uniform Tracker, you'll find out how they did with each and every one of the different jersey and pants combinations.
Ravens will go White-on-Black against the Titans
The Ravens are going classic for their matchup against Tennessee while the Titans will be clad in full-navy unis. No, the telly ain't turning black-and-white just because the Ravens moved countries and play in England, folks, it was just an aesthetic decision by the franchise.
According to Ravens Uniform Tracker, this combination has been used 91 times throughout the existence of the team and has yielded a 37-54 (.407) record. Not positive, but considering it's mostly used on the road that's not bad either! And hey, the Ravens are 2-0 with it this season!
Honestly, it's been more than a few years since the Ravens lost to the Jaguars in London back in 2017. Lamar Jackson was still in college. The Ravens' starter at the quarterback position was mighty Joe Flacco, and Blake Bortles tossed passes for the Jaguars.
Alex Collins led all Ravens running backs with nine carries for 82 yards and no wide receiver caught more than five balls or racked up more than 14 receiving yards for the Flock.
The Titans enter this game having lost their Week 5 matchup against the Colts in another winning effort by backup quarterback Gardner Minshew, who already beat the Ravens in Week 3.
