The Baltimore Ravens have transformed into a new team over the last five weeks. Once sitting at 1-5, they have won four straight games and own a 5-5 record entering their Week 12 matchup with the New York Jets.

Throughout their recent success, the Ravens have been able to mask most of their flaws. The defense started the 2025 campaign on a historically bad pace, but Defensive Coordinator Zach Orr has his group rolling. The offensive line, however, is one unit that has failed to adjust, even in the midst of their four-game winning streak.

Left tackle Ronnie Stanley and center Tyler Linderbaum are the only two starters on the offensive front who have provided starting-caliber play. Right tackle Roger Rosengarten has had strong moments, but has also been inconsistent. The guard play between Andrew Vorhees and Daniel Faalele is where most of the trouble has been.

As a unit, they are one of the worst offensive lines in football, and quarterback Lamar Jackson has paid the price.

ESPN analyst Mina Kimes highlighted Baltimore’s struggles on her podcast, “The Mina Kimes Show.” The stat that stands out is Jackson’s pressure-to-sack ratio.

“The offense is not right yet,” Kimes said. “Last year, [Jackson] had the fourth-best pressure-to-sack ratio in football. This year, it's the 31st. He is sacked 30 percent of the time when he's pressured…I don’t think he’s losing his athleticism, but I do think the offensive line is not as good as they were last year…He just can’t take those sacks, especially when they start playing better defenses.”

The Ravens’ problems against elite defensive lines were on full display in their Week 11 win over the Cleveland Browns. All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett had a field day against them, registering four of Cleveland’s five sacks that Sunday. Jackson also had his worst game of the season, completing just 56% of his passes and throwing two interceptions. Much of that was due to the lack of protection up front.

This has also led to some injuries for Jackson. He missed three games with a hamstring injury, missed practice last week with a knee issue, and missed practice again this week with an ankle issue. The 23 sacks he has taken in 2025 have clearly taken a toll on him, and it already matches the amount he took last year.

Jackson responded to the concerns about the pressure rates this year in his press conference on Thursday.

“It’s part of football,” Jackson. “Sometimes guys will get you, sometimes they won’t. Like I said, I’ll talk to my guys about that. They probably won’t like [you telling me there’s been 23 sacks], though.”

For now, Baltimore is one of the hottest teams in football, but if the horrendous blocking continues, changes might be needed. Rookie offensive lineman Emery Jones Jr. could be an option down the line, but against the Jets, fans will likely see the same starting five.
