The Baltimore Ravens won’t have Trey Hendrickson on Sunday. Head coach Jesse Minter officially confirmed that the team’s star pass rusher will not play in Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans due to a finger injury.

Hendrickson has been dealing with this finger injury since the days leading up to Week 2. He’s been able to play through it with a heavily taped bandage on his hand, but Minter mentioned he had a procedure to fix it up for the long run.

“Trey Hendrickson will be out this week,” Minter said. “We were able to get that finger fixed; we think it’ll be very, very short-term. But just a quick way to get that fixed and get him back, I think that’s gonna be best for us moving forward.”

Losing Hendrickson is a tough blow, but against Tennessee, it shouldn’t be an impossible mountain to overcome. It’s a good opportunity for the 10-year veteran to heal up to 100%.

Without him, though, Baltimore will need more from the rest of their group. It’s time for Mike Green, Tavius Robinson, Zion Young, and Ethan Burke to step up.

Baltimore Ravens will need more from their pass rush in the midst of Trey Hendrickson injury

No matter how good this Titans team is, the Ravens will lack some big-time juice off the edge. Trey Hendrickson’s 14 pressures rank sixth in the NFL, per Pro Football Focus, and overall, this team has had trouble turning pressures into sacks. Losing Hendrickson for at least a week won’t help them put those woes to bed.

Mike Green, Tavius Robinson, Zion Young, and Ethan Burke have flashed, though. There’s hope that the group can get enough pressure on Cam Ward throughout Sunday’s contest.

Green was a bright spot in Baltimore's Week 2 loss. He showcased the quickness and bend that made him so dominant in college. Unfortunately, the issue has been consistency. He should have every opportunity to build a rhythm against the Titans. The Ravens need him to.

As for Robinson, he may actually be the best pass rusher in Charm City so far. Yes, even better than Hendrickson at times. He has 11 pressures and 2 sacks in 2026, all while being a steady run defender. The 26-year-old is in a spot to be the alpha dog in Week 4.

Young, on the other hand, hasn’t exactly shown much as a pass rusher. He has just 2 pressures to his name. The Missouri product has been used more as a run defender, his area of expertise. He may see plenty more chances to develop his pass-rush chops with Hendrickson off the field, though.

The biggest development could be Burke. The undrafted rookie has been active in each of the first three games of the season, but has only gotten in on the action on special teams. Is this his window to shine on Jesse Minter’s defense?

Burke showed out in the preseason, and he might get a few snaps here and there on the defensive side of the ball this weekend. He needs to impress if those reps fall his way.

However the chips fall, Baltimore’s pass-rush unit will have a bit tougher time off the edge than some might expect against this Titans team. Yes, left tackle Dan Moore Jr. has been terrible, but right tackle JC Latham has been off to an impressive start. Those battles on the right side will be tough to win.

Still, this is obviously a favorable matchup for the Ravens. The Titans line as a whole ranks 26th in pass-block win rate. Outside of Latham and Peter Skoronski, Baltimore’s defensive front should have their chances to create problems for Tennessee.
