The Baltimore Ravens continued their hot streak, defeating the Washington Commanders 30-23 in an exciting Week 6 showdown. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson threw for 323 yards, wide receiver Zay Flowers had a career-best 132 receiving yards, and running back Derrick Henry sealed the deal with two touchdowns and 132 rushing yards.

Jayden Daniels impressed for Washington, but Baltimore’s offense was too efficient to stop. Now riding a four-game win streak, the Ravens seem to be firing on all cylinders as they prepare for tougher matchups ahead.

Let’s dive into three winners and three losers from this “Battle of the Beltway.”

3 winners and 3 losers from an eventful Week 6 'Battle of the Beltway'

Winner: Lamar Jackson's follow-up MVP campaign

Jackson continued his red-hot season with another stellar performance. He completed 20 of 26 passes for 323 yards, added 40 rushing yards, and orchestrated multiple long touchdown drives. With Baltimore sitting at 4-2, Jackson looks every bit like an MVP front-runner once again, showing off his incredible ability in critical moments.

Winner: Mark Andrews' believers

After a slow start to the season, Mark Andrews rewarded those who never doubted him. He caught three passes for 66 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown that tied him with Todd Heap for the most in franchise history. Andrews is back to being a game-changer, proving the doubters wrong.

Winner: Not needing Davante Adams

With trade rumors swirling around Adams, the Ravens’ wideouts silenced that speculation. Zay Flowers led the way with 132 yards, Rashod Bateman chipped in with 71, and the passing game looked sharp without any “help.” Baltimore’s receivers are clicking, and any talk of needing Adams seems unnecessary.

Loser: Lamar Jackson haters

With every clutch throw and dazzling run, Jackson is making it harder for critics to cling to their narratives. He outplayed a rising star in Jayden Daniels, led his team to another victory, and looks more comfortable in Todd Monken’s system every week. For those waiting for him to falter - keep waiting.

Loser: Ravens 200-yard rushing games

Baltimore’s streak of out-rushing opponents by at least 100 yards in every game continues. However, despite an impressive 176 total rushing yards, they missed the 200-yard mark. Baltimore had run for over 200 yards twice this season and looked like they could have added another one to the books. A win is a win, but this team prides itself on dominating on the ground, and they fell just short of that goal.

Loser: The announcer's jinx

It struck again. Right after Jim Nantz and the broadcast announced the Commanders hadn't gotten an interception this season, Lamar tossed a pick to Commanders rookie cornerback Mike Sainristil early in the first quarter. Though it didn’t hurt the Ravens in the end, it was another reminder the announcer’s jinx is alive and well.
