Zay Flowers' priceless reaction to Tylan Wallace's 84-yard TD deserves a shirt
By Matt Sidney
Put it on a shirt, "He allergic to the sideline."
It's a phrase Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers said after Tylan Wallace's epic 84-yard catch and run touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals last Thursday night.
Flock Nation found itself in a high-stakes, adrenaline-filled moment against the Bengals, and it was Wallace who ignited the night. He bolted for an electric 84-yard touchdown, tiptoeing his way down the sideline with such precision that it seemed he was “allergic to the sideline,” as second-year wideout Flowers hilariously put it while on the sideline.
It was an incredible moment: the Ravens were trailing, the Bengals were keeping the pressure on, and it felt like Baltimore needed a game-changing play.
Enter Wallace, who caught the ball in what looked like a simple, straightforward pass. But Wallace saw the open field, threaded through defenders, and managed to avoid the sideline like it was lined with hot coals, turning what seemed like a standard gain into a blazing, 84-yard score.
And Zay Flowers’ reaction? Priceless.
Zay Flowers has to be the best teammate on the Baltimore Ravens
Talk about being supportive. Flowers' reaction to Wallace's touchdown was pure gold. You can see just how hyped up he is throughout the whole video below:
Zay Flowers has been a dynamic force for the Ravens this season, bringing energy both on and off the field. In just ten games, he’s already amassed 688 receiving yards on 50 catches, averaging an impressive 13.8 yards per reception. Not to mention, he's found the endzone three times.
Flowers consistently makes big plays in big moments, as seen in his ability to turn short gains into lengthy runs, showcasing his game-breaking speed and precise route-running.
His impact goes beyond stats, though; it’s in his infectious personality and the way he energizes his teammates. His hilarious reaction to Tylan Wallace’s 84-yard sideline-skimming touchdown captured the thrill of the moment, reflecting the camaraderie and playfulness within the Ravens’ receiving corps. Flowers’ blend of talent and personality has quickly made him a fan favorite, and his chemistry with players like Wallace adds extra flair to a Ravens offense that’s as entertaining as it is dominant this season.
While Justin Tucker’s missed extra point might have put a damper on the scoreboard, it didn’t ruin the fire Wallace brought to that play. That moment will live on, whether it’s talked about in highlight reels or maybe, just maybe, on the next piece of Ravens merchandise.
