One of the best reasons to watch the Baltimore Ravens this year has been rewarded for his solid play. Tailback Willis McGahee, who was a second alternate to the AFC Pro Bowl team, has replaced the injured LaDanian Tomlinson on the squad.
He joins Jonathan Ogden, Ed Reed and Ray Lewis as the Ravens making the trip to Honolulu. It’s a much deserved honor, especially when you consider the year he had despite defenses responding to a non-factor at the quarterback position for much of the year.

Willis McGahee Named to Pro Bowl
Local dumbass Ron Stach, better known to football enthusiasts as the “Goof on the Roof,” had his day in court this past Tuesday to answer charges of failure to pay child support for more than 18 years. Stach was sentenced to pay $750 or spend a year in the Baltimore County Detention Center.
His ex-wife, Kelly Stach, called police after seeing reports on local and national media outlets about her baby’s daddy camped out on the roof of a Baltimore bar in protest of the losing Baltimore Ravens. Ron Stach was arrested a day after coming down from the roof, which [...]
Ray Lewis’ Moment of Truth
Courtesy of Awful Announcing, behold Ray Lewis hooked up to a lie detector and his answers on Brian Billick, Brian Urlacher, steroids and Trent Dilfer.
Take a guess about which topic he lies about.
Rex Ryan Returns
In a move the Washington Redskins should appreciate but won’t, the Baltimore Ravens will announce later today that Rex Ryan will return to the team as assistant head coach/defensive coordinator. The move is the last piece of the coaching puzzle designed to invigorate a long-struggling offense, and maintain the nucleus of a solid defense.
The Ravens had long maintained that Ryan was their guy, although they did publicly champion his cause to other teams, notably the Atlanta Falcons. But after hiring Cam Cameron as the new offensive coordinator, Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti talked to Rex on a daily basis through media [...]
Sexy Rex Ryan
Everybody wants him. From Baltimore to DC to New York, everybody has to get a piece of big Rex. And he’s loving every minute of it. Sure’ he’s not happy with being turned down for the Atlanta Falcons gig, but what defensive coordinator wouldn’t like to be romanced in newspapers all around the country?
Look at this picture. Doesn’t he have the look of somebody who should be calling your safety blitzes? With the Ravens, he’d have the comfort of turning loose a defense that should play with a new found freedom that will come with a solid offense under Cam [...]
Cam Cameron Comes to Baltimore
In the first sign that the Ravens are moving in the head coach-by-committee direction, the team brought in former Miami Dolphins head coach Cam Cameron to be its new offensive coordinator. Cameron may have flopped in Florida, but he flew high in San Diego, where the offense was among the league’s elite under his tenure.
This was an easily predicted move after the reports of interviews with Cameron surfaced. It greatly reduces the questions regarding John Harbaugh’s hiring, and should be a fresh make over for a long stagnant offense. But there are still questions ahead, primarily about who will run [...]
Coordinator Circus in Baltimore
Rex Ryan and Cam Cameron couldn’t be further apart on the NFL head coaching spectrum. Ryan has been mentioned as a front runner for several head coaching positions around the league, most notably the vacancy with the Atalanta Falcons. Cam Cameron recently finished leading one of the worst campaigns in NFL history, a tumultuous 1-15 season with the Miami Dolphins.
But a story out of the Carroll County times and Baltimore Ravens insider Aaron Wilson says that Cameron and Ryan are in the same boat when it comes to the Ravens plans for offensive and defensive coordinators, as both men are [...]
In a move that is as far left as the Ravens forgettable 2007 season, the franchise hired Philadelphia Eagles secondary coach John Harbaugh as its new head coach. Perceived by many as the second choice behind the Cowboys’ Jason Garrett, Harbaugh has never been a coordinator in the NFL.
Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti committed to hiring a young talent out of the NFL’s assistant’s pool, but the move to hire Harbaugh is as risky as jumping on a slant route. A secondary coach with the Eagels, Harbaugh was also the special teams coach for the team, and could prove immediately relatable [...]
Jason Garrett, a reported front runner for the head coaching position with the Baltimore Ravens, left town Tuesday night with the details of a contract not finalized. He departed to Atalanta for a second round of interviews with the Falcons, amidst other reports out of Dallas that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will match any offer Garrett receives to keep him as an offensive coordinator with the team.
The interesting thing is that Garrett himself has reservations about taking a head coaching job this early into his coaching career. He has only three years of NFL experience, and while this might be [...]
Okay. We all know Jason Garrett had a more than impressive regular season with the Dallas Cowboys. But it didn’t pay off for them in the playoffs, and just days after the debacle, sources close to the Ravens say the team is trying to make Garrett the third head coach in Ravens history.
Garrett could very well be the man for the job, seeing that he spent an entire season with Terrell Owens without a blow-up. The Ravens offense looks like it could be poised to put up numbers similar to the Cowboys with personnel like Mark Clayton, Todd Heap, [...]
