Top 100 Players of 2015: Baltimore Ravens Add Another Name to the List

The Baltimore Ravens continue to leave their mark on the Top 100 Players on 2015, with at least one Raven making the list each and every week that it has been released. Marshal Yanda, the Ravens star offensive lineman, came in at 79 this week, joining Joe Flacco, C.J. Mosely, Terrell Suggs and Haloti Ngata with 70 more names yet to be revealed.

Shockingly, this is only the second time in Yanda’s career that he’s been named to this list despite arguably being the best guard in the NFL. Last year, he entered the list at number 55, the highest of three guards. This year, he’s the only guard on the list which is quite an achievement, though his 24 spot drop is quite puzzling.

Yanda made yet another Pro Bowl in 2014 and graded out as the best offensive lineman in the NFL by Pro Football Focus. Furthermore, he not only dominated at guard, he also played very well at right tackle when Rick Wagner was injured.

It has already been revealed that the Seahawks have the highest number of players on the list with eight. As I’ve said in the past, the highest number of Ravens to make the list is seven, and they already have five in 2015. Although I can think of four more players who might make the list, two have to be ruled out at this point: Kelechi Osemele and Steve Smith Sr.

Since it’s been revealed that Marshal Yanda is the only guard on the list, that automatically rules out Osemele. As far as Smith Sr., the 5 receivers named so far all had better seasons. I also think that Justin Forsett will make the list, which pushes Smith Sr. out.

I would also bet that Elvis Dumervil is a lock to show up at some point. This means that the Ravens won’t be setting a new personal best for this list, but they could easily finish with the second highest number of players, which is still quite satisfying.
