Welcome to lunchtime links, where we round up all the latest Ravens news from around the web for your convenient consumption.  Today we analyze the latest final 53 player projection, review Ravens grades for the team’s performance following Saturday night’s win over the Cowboys, and speculate whether or not C.J. Mosley is the next great Ravens defender.

ESPN’s latest Ravens projected final roster

Jamison Hensley at ESPN has put up his latest Ravens final projected roster, and it varies just a little from our own. Hensley again feels like Keith Wenning is headed for the practice squad, and we are beginning to agree after his horrid performance Saturday night.  If he keeps it up, the Ravens won’t have to worry about a quarterback needy team snatching him up off of waivers.

Hensley also ups his wide receiver projection to six, and it mirrors our projections from last week, with Kamar Aiken getting the last spot over Jeremy Butler.  He also mirrors our projections for the offensive line, with Ryan Jensen falling off after a couple of disappointing performances.  He does not, however, have Tramain Jacobs making the team, which we see as likely at this point.

Bleacher Report grades each position group

We put up our Ravens vs. Cowboys grades yesterday, and Jason Marcums has his up at Bleacher Report.  Marcum’s good grade for the running backs is obvious, and he gave the quarterbacks a pretty good nod too despite Joe Flacco’s up and down performance.  The defensive line and linebackers graded out well, and of course the secondary did not.  We thought a “C” for the secondary is a bit generous, actually.

Is C.J. Mosley the next great Ravens defender?

Finally, Ryan Mink at the Raven’s official site ponders whether or not C.J. Mosley is the next great Ravens defender.  All signs to this point are certainly promising, as Mosley has led the team in tackles two weeks in a row all while appearing ready to start from day one.  The team is placing a lot of faith in him as well, giving him tons of snaps in the preseason so far.  It may be extremely early to crown the guy, but we think that Mosley will indeed live up to the hype.

Do you think that C.J. Mosley will be the next great Ravens defender?
