Even though Bernard Pierce’s concussion is reportedly minor and he is fully expected to be ready for week 1, concussions are tricky things. Just look at Will Rackley, who missed all of camp and got waived yesterday.
In the modern NFL, you can’t play until you can pass the league’s protocol. So in reality we just don’t know.
After Pierce went down Saturday night, the Ravens used Lorenzo Taliaferro on passing downs and Justin Forsett got most of the early down work.
We will get a good idea of how the team would use them in tandem during a real game on Thursday if they continue that trend.
