Key to Victory #3: Sustain Long Drives on Offense and Win Time of Possession

We talk about winning the time of possession game a lot, and it isn’t always necessary.  After all, the Panthers won TOP in week four, yet the Ravens blew them out.  But against a team that can score points incredibly quick on offense with big time play makers, TOP is an important factor.

More from Ravens News

The Colts are a team that can score in a hurry, especially with the incredibly quick T.Y. Hilton running deep routes.  To counter, the Ravens need to run the ball, a lot.  And they should find open lanes against a team that has had a hard time stopping the run all season.

The Ravens offensive line is a huge mismatch for the Colts smallish defensive line, and they shouldn’t have any trouble winning the battle in the trenches on Sunday.  The biggest question is, will they take advantage?  It would seem to be foolish for the Ravens to come out throwing in this one, but stranger things have happened.
