Welcome to the Daily Caw, where we round up all the latest Ravens news and notes from around the web.  Today we fan the flames surrounding Brandon Marshall to the Ravens rumors, scan the bargain bin in free agency, and look over five questions facing the team this offseason.

Brandon Marshall Talks to John Harbaugh at Super Bowl

We were playing connect the dots yesterday as we wondered whether or not Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall might follow his former head coach Marc Trestman to the Ravens.  Now we find out that Marshall, who moonlights as a host on Showtime’s Inside the NFL, spoke with John Harbaugh, who appeared on several NBC segments during Super Bowl week.

Specifically, Marshall asked Harbaugh if he would allow him to continue working for the show if he played for the Ravens, to which Harbaugh said “oh, absolutely.”  The Bears were reportedly not happy with Marshall’s side job this past season even though it only required him to travel to New York on Tuesdays, his day off.  Stay tuned, because this story is gaining steam…

Top 5 Offseason Questions Facing Ravens

Hint: most of them revolve around players with big salary cap hits and what free agents to target and/or retain.  The Ravens also need to know if Dennis Pitta will be healthy enough to go, but I think they should plan for the worst regardless.

Free Agency Bargain Bin

I’m confident that the Ravens can free up enough cap space to go after a few cheaper free agents.  There are quite a few guys that won’t break the bank, including Kenny Britt, Michael Crabtree, Davon House, and Buster Skrine.
