Ravens Resign Justin Forsett
This was a move that just had to get done. It made too much sense not to reunite Justin Forsett with the team that gave him his first big chance at the ripe age of 29. With Forsett inking a 3 year, $9 million dollar deal, it’s a bargain price for a 1,200 yard rusher as well.
While the odds are Forsett will likely regress a bit from his breakout 2014 numbers, he’s still an asset to an organization that hasn’t been able to find a decent runner since Ray Rice was in his prime. The Ravens will likely still draft a young running back this year, but Forsett will make a great mentor.
Plus, Marc Trestman loves running backs who can catch passes. Just look at the production of Matt Forte over the last couple of seasons. Forsett is equally adept at running between the tackles as he is catching balls, making this reunion one to look forward to.
