Who will jump out to an early lead in the #2 running back competition?
Don’t expect to see much, if any, of starting running back Justin Forsett on Thursday night. The soon-to-be 30 year old veteran doesn’t really need the reps, and the Ravens don’t want to risk injuring the 2014 breakout player in a silly, unnecessary appearance.

The big news here comes from the written in pencil depth chart behind Forsett. So far, rookie running back Javorius “Buck” Allen has had an extremely impressive offseason and looks like a natural in Marc Trestman’s offense.
Allen is battling with sophomore back Lorenzo Taliaferro, who himself has looked lean and quick this offseason. This battle will likely go down to the wire, and both backs are sure to see plenty of action both in the preseason and the regular season.
We’ll be paying close attention over the next few weeks to how the Ravens rotate their backs, as the result will have big fantasy football implications if nothing else.
