With one week of preseason NFL football in the books, we’ve got a pretty good idea of how teams view their current rosters.  Sure, there’s still time for some fringe players to make an impression and save their jobs, but they are running out of time.

That also means that we can start predicting how these team’s rosters will look once week 1 of the regular season begins.  The Baltimore Ravens still have a few guys hanging on and fighting for roster spots, and those players have a little bit of time left to make a lasting impression and save their jobs.

Saturday night will prove to be a nice test for those fringe roster prospects.  With a nationally televised game against the Eagles, they get a chance to shine on TV.  For some, it could be the defining moment that launches a career.   For others, it could be their last hurrah.

Speaking of making an impression, both Michael Campanaro and Lorenzo Taliaferro struck first blood in the respective wide receiver and running back competitions by outperforming everyone else against the Saints.  Those battles, however, are probably far from over.
