The Baltimore Ravens have the sixth overall pick in the NFL Draft. This is their first top ten pick since 2003 when they selected Terrell Suggs. The Ravens have several ways they could go with their draft pick. The draft needs of other teams could impact the Ravens choices.

1. Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans have the first overall pick. You can rule out QB as a position the Titans may draft. They drafted Marcus Mariota last season and now they look to build the team around him. The Titans are really a wild card in this draft. They could go with an offensive tackle like Laremy Tunsil or Ronnie Stanley. The could help their secondary with the addition of Jalen Ramsey. Ramsey of course could be the apple of the Ravens eye.

2. Cleveland Browns:

The Browns are inevitably going to take a quarterback. This is what they do. Johnny Manziel did not work out, maybe Carson Wentz or Jared Goff will. It’s the Browns though, it is more than likely they will just screw it up. If the Browns do make the obvious selection of a quarterback it is a favor to the Ravens who are in the market for help elsewhere on their roster. The Browns could potentially make me sick to my stomach by taking Laquon Treadwell, the wide receiver from Ole Miss. Though with Hue Jackson being hired it looks like he’ll want to pick his QB.

3. San Diego Chargers:

This is another possible landing spot for Treadwell. It also is a landing spot for Joey Bosa. The Chargers need pass rush, more than anything they need toughness in the front seven. Either player would be someone the Ravens could be targeting.

4. Dallas Cowboys:

It is hard to imagine that the Cowboys would allow Jalen Ramsey to slip past them. The Cowboys secondary last year couldn’t stop a nosebleed. If it weren’t for the injury of Tony Romo the secondary would have been their biggest need. If he is still on the board the Ravens better hope Jerry Jones and company leave Ramsey on said board. Maybe they’ll go Vernon Hargreaves or even take a quarterback. Nothing would surprise me with the Cowboys yet this seems like Ramsey’s most likely destination.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars:

The Jaguars need pass rushers but they should be content in Dante Fowler making it back from his rookie season stealing injury. Yet again you have a team with a quarterback who needs help in the secondary. If the Ravens had their heart set on getting a corner, it is possible that their two top options will be gone.

The Ravens top four positions they want to draft are likely

  1. Cornerback
  2. Wide Receiver
  3. Pass Rusher
  4. Offensive Tackle

It is quit possible that by the sixth pick the top corner, the top receiver and the top pass rusher could be gone. Even with the sixth overall pick, the waiting game will be hard to do.
