2. Shareece Wright

Ready or not, the Ravens are about to enter the season with Shareece Wright as their number two cornerback. While I have cautious optimism about Wright, this is a huge gamble for the Baltimore Ravens. Adding Eric Weddle was huge. It could have a transforming affect on the Ravens secondary. The problem is that if Wright proves to be the weak link nothing the Ravens did this offseason will fix the secondary.

More from Ebony Bird

Wright is one of those players that we don’t really know what to expect from. Will he be the solid cornerback he was at the end of the season? Or will he be the struggling cornerback that got cut from the San Diego Chargers for a reason?

Wright is the key to the Ravens secondary. If he shines than the entire secondary could shine. We know what we’re getting from Eric Weddle. We know Jimmy Smith can be a phenomenal cornerback. The secondary has a lot of hope. It just depends on how Wright handles the big responsibility of being the number two cornerback.
