Baltimore Ravens: 1st and 2nd Round Mock Draft 5.0
By Joe Schiller
I have not featured an offensive lineman in any of my other 1st and 2nd round mock drafts, but it changes here. The Ravens find an early replacement to Jeremy Zuttah, who was traded to the 49ers. There are options in house to be a replacement, but it is hard to tell how confident the coaching staff is about them. Pat Elflein seems like a good fit for this replacement.

During his time at Ohio State, Elflein played mostly guard, but switched to center before his senior year. He was awarded as one of the best offensive lineman in the country his final year at Ohio State. Looking at his draft profile, it highlights him as a patient blocker. This is a major difference from Zuttah. He found himself on the wrong end of some stupid penalties because he made poor decisions. With Elflein being a more patient blocker, it helps set up the play much better. Along with his play Elflein adds versatility on the line as well. He played both guard and center in college. If the Ravens choose to move Alex Lewis to tackle, Elflein could also be a replacement at guard.
