Players who probably won’t make the team:

. . Vince Mayle. 5. team. 26. Vince Mayle is listed as a tight end on the Ravens first official depth chart, but he came into this league as a wide receiver. Mayle was with the Dallas Cowboys last season but he hasn’t recorded an NFL reception in his two year career. He’s a 6’2″ player from Washington State. Mayle was not one of the 11 players who caught a pass in the Ravens first preseason action.

Ryan Malleck. 6. team. 26. Malleck is another young player who is just trying to work his way onto the team. He is a 6’4″ player from Virginia Tech, looking for his first shot at an NFL roster. Malleck is surely on the outside looking in.. .

Baltimore needs to find an answer at the tight end position. Flacco favors the tight end. Boyle seems like the most likely answer at the tight end position. When the season gets going, the tight end that develops a chemistry with Flacco will be the most successful.
