Defense

DL: Brandon Williams, Michael Pierce, Brent Urban, Bronson Kaufusi, Chris Wormley, Carl Davis, Pat Ricard, Willie Henry

The Ravens defensive line is going to be deep, REAL deep. All eight defensive lineman make the 53-man roster, including undrafted rookie Pat Ricard. Like mentioned before, he’ll see work at fullback, but will still be included in the defensive rotation. After talking about trades, the Ravens could still very well deal a defensive lineman. It’s not likely, but it will be something to look out for.

ILB: C.J. Mosley, Kamalei Correa, Patrick Onwuasor, Bam Bradley

While C.J. Mosley is the bonified starter at one spot, the other is up for grabs. Kamalei Correa and Patrick Onwuasor will be fighting for the week one job. Behind them, the coolest name in football makes the roster. Undrafted rookie Bam Bradley will suit up as the fourth inside linebacker. He’ll play mostly on special teams, but could still see some reps at linebacker. The Ravens have had success with undrafted players at the position and don’t seem to be afraid to rely on more this season.

More from Ebony Bird

OLB: Terrell Suggs, Matt Judon, Tyus Bowser, Tim Williams, Za’Darius Smith

The Ravens struggled with getting to the quarterback last season and now have depth heading into the new season. Rookies Tyus Bowser and Tim Williams both look as good as advertised. Za’Darius Smith was a bubble player but solidified his spot with his preseason play. Suggs and Judon are expected to be week one starters. Expect a lot more sacks from this group in 2017.

CB:  Jimmy Smith, Brandon Carr, Marlon Humphrey, Jaylen Hill, Sheldon Price, Maurice Canady

After Jaylen Hill’s impressive preseason performance, there was no way he wasn’t going to make the roster. The undrafted rookie is more than just a player to root for, he’s going to be a legitimate contributor to the secondary.

Most of us forgot about Maruice Canady, but the Ravens did not place him on Injured Reserve. This means he’ll be eligible to return this season when healthy. More depth never hurts, especially at a position that’s been a weak link for the Ravens in recent years.

S: Eric Weddle, Tony Jefferson, Lardarius Webb, Anthony Levine, Chuck Clark

Chuck Clark rounds out all of the Ravens 2017 draft picks making the 53-man roster. Eric Weddle and Tony Jefferson will make for one of the best safety duos in the NFL. I know I’m not the only one who is excited to see them terrorize opposing quarterbacks and wide receivers this season. Don’t forget about Anthony Levine, who is a hybrid player that can do it all for Dean Pees.
