Studying the Vikings offense:
The Vikings offense makes me jealous. Not only do they have the talent to get it done, they do a lot of smart things. The Vikings offense is efficient and effective. They give a lot of different looks and formations. There is no shortage of wide receivers and tight ends going in motion across the line of scrimmage before plays. The Vikings use this both as a diagnostic tool (how the defense responds) but also as a way to set up plays.

There were a couple of stylish plays from the Vikings against the Green Bay Packers. They like to use their tight ends creatively. On one play they lined up with two tight ends on one side and did a play-action screen pass to the running back on the other side. On another play they had a receiver go in motion and then did a play-action pass to him in the flat.
Creative offense:
When the Vikings do a play-action pass, which is a big part of their offense, they always give Keenum a minimum of a short and a deep option to the side he is rolling to. Keenum is displaying great accuracy and he can make some really nice touch passes. It will be important for the linebackers to get into the passing lanes because Keenum will force passes, especially over the middle of the field. Adam Theilen is their best player without Stefon Diggs. The Ravens must take Theilen away and make other players beat them.
The Ravens should take advantage of their talented corners and be aggressive at the line of scrimmage with the Vikings receivers. This could knock off the timing for the Vikings. The Vikings running game wants badly to get to the edge. Outside contain is going to be important. The Vikings often feature a zone blocking scheme with double team blocks. The Ravens defensive line has to play gap sound defense and the linebackers must remain disciplined but with some aggression.
