1. Running Back:

Kenneth Dixon was supposed to come back from injury and be an instant upgrade in the backfield. The Ravens were going to have a three headed monster between Collins, Allen and Dixon. The Ravens didn’t add running backs during the draft or the initial wave of free agency. This was one position that was supposed to be settled. Gus Edwards has crept into the picture however, and Dixon has not had any preseason reps under his belt.

The Ravens added Edwards as an undrafted free agent from Rutgers. In the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, Edwards stood out. Edwards had 10 carries for 35 yards behind a struggling offensive line. He also caught a pass that he gained 23 yards off of. In the second game, Edwards was impressive. Edwards had 12 carries and got 58 yards. Showing impressive moves and vision, Edwards broke out for a 24 yard game.

Next. The pros and cons of keeping 3 QB's. dark

Much like with Onwuasor at the Will linebacker spot, the fact that we’re having this conversation is a bad thing for Dixon. The running back position has two spots locked up. Alex Collins and Buck Allen are not going anywhere. That means that there is only one or two more spots left at the position. With the likelihood of keeping three quarterbacks it will come down to Dixon and Edwards. The Ravens will have to make a decision on a part of their roster that they thought was settled, making this the most interesting thing to watch moving forward.
