The Draft Network:

Joe Marino- Chief Administrative Officer

The pick: Kelvin Harmon, WR, NC State

"The need to add weapons around Lamar Jackson at wide receiver is clear for Baltimore and I really like all the things Harmon can bring to Baltimore’s offense and how he would mesh with Jackson. First off, his receiving ability is exciting. He features blue chip play strength and can truly over-power defensive backs. He is an alpha at the catch point, has good length and dominant ball skills. And don’t sleep on his ability to run smooth routes and separate. Saying he can’t because he is big is a lack of awareness to the traits he illustrates on tape. While that in and of itself is exciting, Harmon is a dominant blocker. Given the quick passing game and running ability of Jackson, having Harmon in the mix to secure blocks on the perimeter and down the field makes him an even more enticing option for the Ravens. — Joe Marino"

Back-to-back slides of wide receivers not named N’Keal Harry being mocked to the Baltimore Ravens? Seems strange, but Joe Marino’s option for the team is far more unique and perhaps a far safer option.

Harmon won’t have the concerns that Harry (deep speed, athleticism) and Metcalf (injuries) have headed into the 2019 NFL Draft process, but he doesn’t possess their ceilings, either. Nonetheless, Harmon is a very smart option for Baltimore in round one. Harmon is incredibly well-rounded and would still give Lamar Jackson a safety blanket that he can grow with. Harmon isn’t the pick that gets fans excited at first, but his floor is of the best in this draft class and is a safe selection for the Ravens.
