Tier 4: Underrated targets

  • Jakobi Myers (NC St)
  • Emanual Hall (Missouri)
  • Felton Davis (MSU)
  • Gary Jennings (WVU)
  • David Sills (WVU)
  • Anthony Johnson (Buffalo)

Gary Jennings stands out from this tier because he’s such a tough receiver over the middle of the field. Jennings is a player that popped out on tape when I went to study his teammate David Sills. Sills has the better frame and is probably a better deep threat, but Jennings is a reliable receiver who can do a lot of damage underneath. Emanuel Hall is a burner of a wide receiver. He’s such an explosive athlete, he could end up being the steal of this draft coming from the Missouri Tigers.

Felton Davis is a big bodied weapon to throw the jump ball to down the field. He is a receiver coming off an Achilles injury. If he falls into the third round he could be the perfect stash away kind of pick. There are so many talented receivers in this draft class. The fact that the receiver position isn’t being talked about the way it used to be, is a good indicator that they are the x-factors of this draft.
