The Baltimore Ravens are having a phenomenal season so far. They are 7-2 and are currently enjoying a five game winning streak. Is this the most exciting Ravens team ever?

This might be the most exciting Baltimore Ravens team there ever has been. The Ravens have a superstar at quarterback who is in the running for the MVP. The Ravens are averaging 33.3 points per game, putting up over 400 yards each week and have one of the best run games in NFL history.

There is still a lot of football to be played so it’s not time to crown the 2019 Ravens the best yearly edition of the franchise. The Ravens have won two Super Bowls and had a 13-3 2006 season. The 2011 team that lost in the AFC title game may have been better than the team that won it all the next season.

John Harbaugh still has time to figure out if this year’s team is the best Ravens team ever, yet we already know it’s the most exciting team. The Ravens have always had good defense and have typically lagged behind on offense. Even in their best seasons they didn’t have one of the best offensive attacks in football. The only real weakness for the Ravens is their pass rush and that didn’t stop them from beating Russell Wilson and Tom Brady.

The Ravens are on pace to have one of their most impressive seasons ever. Lamar Jackson may be the most special star the Ravens have ever had on the offensive side of the ball. The Ravens offense has had some play-makers. Ray Rice was awesome. Anquan Boldin was fun to watch and so was Derrick Mason. The Ravens never had a game changing talent like Jackson. They never had a player that generated MVP talk like this.

When this team is rolling it’s a different style. This isn’t a Ravens team that is going to scrape by week after week. Good defense isn’t being wasted. Believe it or not, the Ravens offense is actually doing the most exciting things. Who ever thought that would happen in Baltimore? Greg Roman’s offense is creative and nobody has figured out how to stop it. The defense has gotten better as the season has progressed. There’s just not a lot of bad things to say about this pleasure of a team to watch. This team doesn’t have to win ugly anymore. They win by sending a message to the league that they are contenders.

Marquise Brown is the receiver the Ravens have finally hit on in the draft. Not only is he as dazzling of an athlete as Jackson, he’s also got reliable hands and toughness. Mark Andrews and Mark Ingram II are real play-makers. Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters lead a great secondary. Both players have scored multiple defensive touchdowns for the Ravens. The defense has become opportunistic which is the perfect compliment to the electricity the offense is providing.

When the New England Patriots came to M&T Bank Stadium, the Ravens got an opportunity to prove that they were the real deal. They went up 17-0 in a statement of a performance and ultimately won the game 37-20.

The Ravens have blown bad teams out of the water and they have beaten two contenders. The Ravens loss to the Kansas City Chiefs was forgivable and their only real slip was to the Cleveland Browns. The nightmare game served as a wake up call and the team got their act together.

The Ravens have never been this fun. A ticket to a game has never been worth more. The excitement is back. The energy of this team is through the roof. This is not just another season in Baltimore. Whatever the final record of this team ends up being, the Ravens have been the most entertaining team in the league.
