Third round:

I couldn’t help myself, I had to add even more help for the defensive front seven of the Ravens. Zuniga is a player you could easily classify either at edge or as a defensive end. He’s 6’3″ with a 264 pound build. He’s more than a decent athlete. He ran a 4.64 40 yard dash and had 29 reps of the bench press at the NFL combine. He has a good first step and has a high motor. Those are two things that work well together. He kind of reminds me of Arthur Jones. That means he’s definitely a fit for the purple and black.

Lance Zierlein wrote this about Zuniga in his NFL.com NFL Draft profile:

"“With Zuniga, you either buy into the flashes or you don’t. He’s an explosive athlete who has been splashing and flashing since his freshman season but failed to fully reach the promise his traits and explosiveness implied.”"

With the picks of Yetur Gross-Matos and Malik Harrison, the Ravens will be more than set defensively. They are now playing with house money and have the ability to take a boom or bust player. This is a pick based on the high ceiling of Zuniga. Being picked in the third round, into an already loaded defense will allow him to develop at his own pace.

The trade of Hayden Hurst opened up the possibility of adding to the tight end position. Thaddeus Moss is a 6’2″ 250 pound tight end who happens to be the son of Randy Moss. He had 47 receptions for 570 yards in 2019, for the LSU Tigers. His most impressive showing was in the College Football Playoffs. He had nine receptions for 135 yards in the two playoff games. His 62 yard touchdown reception against the Oklahoma Sooners was particularly memorable. Moss is a player who I would like to see the Ravens target. He would be going to the tight end capital of NFL offenses and it seems like a perfect fit.

This is a mock draft that fills needs and gives the Ravens some players to develop for the future. It shows you that the Ravens will have value fall to them if they don’t make any more moves to acquire picks. The fact that the Ravens have five picks in the first three rounds gives them a ton of exciting options in the NFL Draft. This is one of the greatest opportunities to build the team that the franchise has ever had. With Baltimore’s track record and the already impressive moves of Eric DeCosta, that could pay off in a big way.
